MARKETING RESEARCH UK – How Much Does a Web Design Marketing Agency Cost in the UK?

Businesses are no longer satisfied with websites that simply “look good.” They need websites that rank, convert, and scale. This shift has driven demand for SEO‑driven website design, a strategic approach that integrates technical SEO, content architecture, and performance optimisation directly into the build.

But how much should an SEO‑driven website cost in the UK? Market Research UK reveals pricing varies dramatically depending on location, provider type, and project complexity. This guide breaks down the real numbers, compares UK regions, and helps you understand what you’re actually paying for.

Basic static websites that aren’t optimised will simply drift unnoticed in cyberspace. To have any chance of appearing on the first pages of search engines, you need a domain name that is either brandable and memorable or an exact‑match keyword or phrase that people actively search for. These types of domains are rarely included in standard website packages, so either you or your developer will need to secure a domain that people can easily recall. Acronyms are generally harder to rank unless they arealready well‑established. If you do use an acronym, you can still incorporate it into your content, treat it as a keyword, and forward it to your main exact‑match domain. An example of this is that we have pointed two domain names, although they are exact match searchable keywords towww.marketresearchuk.co.uk, these domains act as additional searchable terms to help with SEO, www.cymruresearch.co.uk and www.cymruresearch.com. We intend to add an acronym pending approval. We will update this page when it happens.

Marketing is a completely separate discipline, and costs vary widely. It’s important not to confuse SEO with marketing or advertising, as each serves a different purpose:

  • SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) focuses on improving your website so search engines can understand, index, and rank it. It’s about structure, content, keywords, and technical performance.
  • Marketing is about promoting your brand, product, or service to the right audience through various channels.
  • Advertising is paid promotion—placing your message in front of people through ads, sponsored posts, or paid search.

These are distinct services, and you should be aware of what you’re paying for.

An SEO‑driven website goes far beyond visuals. It includes:

  • Keyword‑led information architecture
  • Technical SEO setup (schema, redirects, metadata, crawl optimisation)
  • Core Web Vitals optimisation
  • Accessibility (WCAG compliance)
  • Conversion‑focused UX
  • Content optimisation and internal linking
  • Analytics, tracking, and performance monitoring

This approach ensures the site is built to rank from day one — not retrofitted later at extra cost.

These are typical UK prices for standard website builds with only basic SEO:

Website TypeTypical UK Cost
Local startup/Freelancer site£300–£800
Coaches/Consultants£800–£1,500
Small e‑commerce£1,200–£2,500
Corporate/scalable site£2,500–£5,000+

These prices rise significantly once the SEO strategy is integrated.

Provider TypePrice RangeBest For
UK Freelancers£1,500–£6,000Small brochure sites, simple service businesses

Freelancers offer affordability but limited strategic depth.

Provider TypePrice RangeNotes
Regional Agencies£5,000–£20,000Best value; often 65% cheaper than London

Regional agencies deliver strong SEO foundations without London overheads.

Provider TypePrice RangeNotes
London Agencies£15,000–£85,000+Highest overheads; not always higher quality

The same project can cost £12,000 in Belfast, £30,000 in Birmingham, or £85,000 in London.

Provider TypePrice RangeIncludes
Enterprise Agencies£25,000–£150,000+Full SEO strategy, CRO, content, integrations, automation

These are suitable for national brands or complex digital ecosystems.

SEO‑driven design sets the foundation, but ongoing SEO is essential for growth.

SEO LevelMonthly Cost
Basic local SEO£300–£800
Small business SEO£800–£1,500
Competitive industries£1,500–£3,000
National/enterprise£3,000–£10,000+
  • £5,000–£20,000 (regional agency)
  • £15,000–£40,000 (London)
  • £8,000–£30,000+
  • £25,000–£150,000+

Several factors influence cost:

  • Location (London is the most expensive)
  • Competition level
  • Content volume
  • Integrations and custom features
  • Agency size and overheads
  • Depth of SEO strategy

A Cardiff-based business, for example, can often secure London-quality work at a significantly lower cost.

An SEO‑driven website is an investment, not an expense. It’s the difference between a site that simply exists and a site that actively drives traffic, leads, and revenue.

Understanding UK Pricing helps you avoid overpaying while ensuring you choose a provider who delivers genuine SEO value, not just pretty pages.

Marketing and Consulting Costs in Wales vary depending on experience, scope, and whether you’re working with a freelancer or an agency, but realistic monthly budgets usually fall between £300 and £1,500+ for small businesses. UK Marketing Consultants typically charge £75–£150 per hour for early‑ to mid‑level expertise, while highly experienced consultants can command £200–£300 per hour. Some firms price closer to £1000 + per hour for director‑level support outside major cities, which often applies to regional areas like Wales. When translated into monthly retainers, this means that even a modest plan, such as a few hours of strategy, content planning, or campaign oversight, quickly reaches several hundred pounds. More intensive support, such as ongoing SEO, content creation, or multi‑channel marketing management, naturally sits at the higher end. The key is to ensure the consultant is transparent about deliverables and that the fee aligns with measurable outcomes rather than just hours spent.

Cymru Marketing Journal Pricing Structure (5 Hours Per Week)

Partner – 1 hour per day / 5 hours per week. Hourly Rate: £1100

Manager/ Principal Consultant: Hourly Rate: £550

Consultant: Hourly Rate: £400

Business Analyst: Hourly Rate: £300

Support Staff/ Graphics Specialist/Editing: Hourly Rate: £100.00

Your developer should be transparent and present all available options so you can make informed decisions. Your domain is digital real estate, and your website is an asset, so choose wisely.

The Best Way Of Marketing & Advertising Your Business

Marketing and advertising are crucial elements for the success of any business. Without effective marketing strategies, it is difficult to attract new customers and retain existing ones. However, with so many different marketing channels and strategies available, it can be challenging to know where to start. In this article, we will explore the best ways of marketing and advertising your business.

  1. Define your target audience

The first step in creating an effective marketing and advertising strategy is to define your target audience. Who are your ideal customers? What are their needs and wants? Where do they spend their time online and offline? By answering these questions, you can create a targeted approach that resonates with your audience.

  1. Build a strong brand

Your brand is the identity of your business. It’s what sets you apart from your competitors and communicates your values and mission. A strong brand can help build trust and credibility with your customers. Ensure your brand is consistent across all channels, from your website to your social media profiles and marketing materials.

  1. Create valuable content

Content marketing is a powerful way to attract and engage your audience. Create content that provides value to your customers, such as blog posts, videos, social media posts, and infographics. Your content should address their pain points and offer solutions. Share your content on your website, social media, and other relevant channels to reach your target audience.

  1. Use social media

Social media platforms are a great way to reach and engage with your audience. Determine which platforms your target audience uses the most and create a strategy that aligns with your brand and goals. Use a mix of organic and paid strategies to increase your reach and engagement.

  1. Use email marketing

Email marketing is a highly effective way to reach and nurture your audience. Use email to promote your products and services, share valuable content, and keep your audience informed about your business. Personalize your emails and segment your audience to increase engagement and conversions.

  1. Use SEO

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of optimizing your website to rank higher in search engine results pages. Use keyword research to identify the most relevant keywords for your business and optimize your website content accordingly. This will help you attract organic traffic to your website.

  1. Use paid advertising

Paid advertising can help you reach a wider audience and increase conversions. Use platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Instagram Ads to create targeted campaigns that reach your ideal customers. Ensure your ads are visually appealing and include a clear call to action.

Conclusion

Marketing and advertising are essential components of any successful business. By defining your target audience, building a strong brand, creating valuable content, and using social media, email marketing, SEO, and paid advertising, you can create an effective marketing strategy that drives growth and success for your business. Remember to regularly review and adjust your strategy based on your business goals and customer feedback.

The Importance of Content Writing

Content writing has become an integral part of marketing in today’s digital age. The internet has made it easier than ever to reach a global audience, and content writing is one of the most effective ways to do that. Content writing is the process of creating written material for digital platforms, including blogs, websites, social media, and email marketing campaigns.

The importance of content writing cannot be overstated. The following are some of the reasons why content writing is essential:

  1. Attracts traffic to your website High-quality, informative, and engaging content is the key to attracting traffic to your website. When people search for information related to your business or products, search engines direct them to your website if you have relevant and well-written content. By attracting more visitors to your website, you increase the chances of converting them into paying customers.
  2. Builds brand identity Creating high-quality and consistent content that reflects your brand values and voice helps to build a strong brand identity. By producing content that is tailored to your target audience, you can establish your business as an authority in your industry, build brand loyalty and increase customer engagement.
  3. Enhances customer engagement Content writing is an excellent way to engage with your customers and build long-term relationships with them. Through the use of blog posts, social media posts, and email marketing campaigns, you can provide valuable information to your customers and keep them informed about new products and services. This, in turn, increases customer loyalty and enhances their overall experience with your brand.
  4. Boosts SEO The quality of your content is one of the primary factors that determine your website’s ranking on search engine results pages (SERPs). Search engines prefer websites that have relevant, high-quality, and engaging content. By optimizing your content with relevant keywords, you can boost your website’s visibility and increase the chances of ranking higher on search engine results pages.
  5. Generates leads and sales Finally, content writing plays a critical role in generating leads and sales for your business. By creating content that is informative, engaging, and persuasive, you can convince potential customers to try your products or services. Well-written product descriptions, customer testimonials, and how-to guides can help to build trust and credibility, leading to increased sales and revenue.

With the right content strategy, businesses can achieve their marketing goals and stay ahead of their competition.

The Importance of SEO

In the modern world of digital marketing, it’s essential to have an online presence. However, having a website or social media accounts alone is not enough. It’s crucial to optimize your online presence for search engines to ensure that your business or brand is discoverable by potential customers. This is where Search Engine Optimization (SEO) comes in.

SEO refers to the process of improving the visibility and ranking of a website or webpage in search engine results pages (SERPs) for relevant keywords and phrases. The higher your website ranks in search results, the more likely it is that users will visit your website, increasing the likelihood of conversions and revenue.

Here are some reasons why SEO is essential for any business or brand:

  1. Increased visibility and website traffic With the majority of online experiences starting with a search engine, it’s essential to have a high ranking in search results. Implementing SEO strategies such as keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building can help improve your website’s ranking and increase visibility. This, in turn, can lead to increased website traffic and potential customers.
  2. Cost-effective marketing Compared to other forms of digital marketing such as paid advertising, SEO can be a cost-effective way of driving traffic to your website. While SEO requires an investment of time and resources, it can provide long-term benefits, and the traffic generated is often of higher quality and more likely to convert.
  3. Improved user experience SEO not only involves optimizing your website for search engines, but it also involves improving the user experience for your website visitors. This includes ensuring that your website is easy to navigate, has fast loading times, and is mobile-friendly. A positive user experience can lead to higher engagement and more conversions.
  4. Competitive advantage In today’s competitive digital landscape, having a strong SEO strategy can provide a significant advantage over competitors. By ranking higher in search results, your business or brand is more likely to be seen by potential customers, giving you an edge over competitors who may not have invested in SEO.
  5. Long-term benefits While other forms of digital marketing may provide quick results, the benefits are often short-lived. SEO, on the other hand, provides long-term benefits, with the potential to generate traffic and revenue for years to come. A well-executed SEO strategy can provide a sustainable and scalable source of website traffic and revenue.

SEO is an essential component of any digital marketing strategy. By improving your website’s ranking in search results, you can increase visibility, drive website traffic, and ultimately increase revenue. With the right approach and investment, SEO can provide a significant competitive advantage and long-term benefits for your business or brand.

The Importance of Networking

Networking is a term used to describe the process of creating and maintaining relationships with people, businesses, and organizations. Networking has become increasingly important in today’s interconnected world, where the ability to establish and cultivate meaningful connections can help to advance careers, build businesses, and achieve personal and professional goals.

The benefits of networking are numerous, and they extend to individuals and businesses alike. Networking can help individuals to find new job opportunities, establish connections with like-minded professionals, and gain valuable industry insights and knowledge. For businesses, networking can help to establish partnerships and collaborations, attract new customers, and build brand recognition and credibility.

One of the key components of effective networking is building relationships. Building relationships requires a combination of authenticity, persistence, and generosity. Authenticity means being genuine and honest in your interactions with others. Persistence means continuing to engage with others even when it may not immediately result in a desired outcome. And generosity means being willing to give without expecting anything in return.

In addition to building relationships, effective networking also involves being strategic. This means identifying the people and organizations that are most relevant to your goals and focusing your networking efforts on them. It also means having a clear understanding of your own strengths and value proposition and being able to articulate them in a compelling way to others.

There are a number of different networking channels and strategies that can be used to build relationships and establish connections. These include attending industry conferences and events, participating in online forums and communities, joining professional associations and organizations, and leveraging social media platforms like LinkedIn.

Another important aspect of effective networking is follow-up. Following up after an initial meeting or interaction can help to solidify a relationship and demonstrate your interest and commitment to establishing a connection. This can be done through email, phone, or in-person follow-up meetings or interactions.

Finally, it’s important to recognize that networking is a long-term investment. Building strong relationships takes time and effort, and the benefits may not be immediately apparent. However, by consistently engaging with others and staying committed to building and maintaining connections, the rewards of networking can be substantial and enduring.

Networking is an essential skill for both individuals and businesses in today’s interconnected world. By building strong relationships, being strategic in your approach, and following up consistently, you can establish valuable connections and gain a range of personal and professional benefits. Whether you are seeking to advance your career, build your business, or simply expand your network, investing in networking can help you to achieve your goals and build a successful future.

The Importance of Using Influencers

In recent years, the use of influencers has become an increasingly important part of many companies marketing strategies. Influencers are people with large followings on social media who can promote products and services to their followers. The use of influencers has proven to be an effective way for companies to reach their target audience, build brand awareness, and increase sales. In this article, we will explore the importance of using influencers in marketing.

One of the most significant benefits of using influencers is their ability to reach a large and engaged audience. Influencers have spent years building up their following on social media platforms, and they have a high level of trust and credibility with their followers. When an influencer promotes a product or service, their followers are more likely to listen and take action. This can lead to a significant increase in brand awareness and sales for the company.

Another important benefit of using influencers is their ability to provide social proof. Social proof is the idea that people are more likely to trust and believe something if they see others doing it. When an influencer promotes a product or service, it provides social proof to their followers that the product is worth trying. This can be especially important for new or lesser-known products, as influencers can help build trust and credibility for the brand.

In addition to their ability to reach a large and engaged audience and provide social proof, influencers can also help companies target specific demographics. Many influencers have a particular niche or audience that they appeal to, and companies can use this to their advantage by partnering with influencers who have followers in their target market. For example, a company selling vegan food products might partner with an influencer who focuses on plant-based diets and healthy living.

Finally, the use of influencers can be an efficient and cost-effective marketing strategy. Compared to traditional advertising methods, such as television or print ads, the use of influencers can be less expensive and have a higher return on investment. Additionally, influencers often have a high level of creativity and can develop engaging content that is tailored to their followers and the product or service they are promoting.

In conclusion, the use of influencers is an important and effective part of many companies marketing strategies. Influencers have the ability to reach a large and engaged audience, provide social proof, target specific demographics, and be a cost-effective marketing strategy. When used correctly, influencers can help companies build brand awareness, increase sales, and connect with their target audience.

  1. Creating a Personal Brand

For individuals, blogging can be a powerful way to create a personal brand and establish themselves as thought leaders in their industry. By sharing their expertise, opinions, and experiences on a blog, individuals can establish themselves as experts in their field, which can lead to speaking opportunities, consulting gigs, and other business opportunities.

40 Ways To Get More Business.

40 Ways to Get More Business.

I have decided today to take a leaf out of my own book and practice what I preach.

With that said I am going to develop a directory of businesses and forums on my site where people can come and hang out. It is in the beta stage at the moment, watch this space.

There is a saying ‘If the mountain will not come to Muhammad, then Muhammad must go to the mountain‘ arises from the story of Muhammad, as retold by Francis Bacon, in Essays, 1625: Mahomet called the Hill to come to him. … If the mountain will not come to Mahomet, Mahomet will go to the mountain.

In other words get people to come to you, rather than you going to them, moving one stone at a time you will eventually move the mountain.

  1. Design and market a business blog. In fact, I have several and use them as part of my SEO link wheel. Once you have decided what your blog is about you need to have categories of different topics people actively search for and want help with. Tip use keywords in your categories.
  2. Guest Blog on other people’s blogs. This will create backlinks back to your default site. Ask bloggers in your LinkedIn contacts if they would be happy to publish your articles. Find Blogs similar to your niche and gust blog posts there.
  3. Write posts on groups and social media pages. It is a good idea to also have your own group and pages.
  4. For Online Social Media advertising: you can have a Video or Squeeze pages which can help increase your total number of conversions while providing you with enough information needed to nurture leads into sales. This applies to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  5. Adwords: obviously you need a budget for this and Google often do promotional incentives for first-time users such as getting £75.00 free credit if you spend £25.00
  6. LinkedIn Ads: are similar to Google Ads the only difference is your LinkedIn ads will only be visible on LinkedIn. However, because LinkedIn is a Business Platform this is by far one of the best ways to connect and network.
  7. Offer online courses: and sell your courses on sites like UDEMY. Obviously, the best place to sell it is on your own websites and social media platforms. Put together a “how to” course and teach people a trade.
  8. Local Workshops: are a good way to network and get like-minded people together. This can be done online although pending lockdown restrictions and regulations this can also be a physical place to meet.
  9. Business Listings: if you are already registered with Google My Business you should make Google your friend, and they will track you and rank you faster.
  10. List your business with all the main business directories, like Yell, and Yelp. 192 etc.
  11. List your business on Classified websites: such as Cardiff Free Ads. Just type into Google search, Classified ads and you will get your answer through the search results.
  12. List your Business on Business Forums and Community websites.
  13. Post articles on Quora and Reddit.
  14. Post Articles on all your Social Media Pages: consistently otherwise people lose interest and the more times your brand is visible the more popular you will become.
  15. Talk At Events: If you like talking, why not speak at events, and talk about your product, brand, and story?
  16. Host a Conference: get people to come to you, and get them networking.
  17. Partner with a Competitor: that way you can help each other.
  18. Partner with a Non-Competing Business: that may benefit your skills.
  19. Go to Networking Events: Hosted by Other people, this can be online and physical.
  20. Ask for Referrals: Start with family and friends and ask them to share your business cards and social media shares with their connections, you will be surprised how many people will get to see your business. Getting referrals and utilizing your network can be a quick and easy way to score more client projects.
  21. Set Up a Suppliers Page: on your blog/website and get people to advertise. (For example if you are an electrician advertise businesses that sell electrical equipment or if you are a hair salon then haircare products).
  22. Set up an Affiliate Marketing Program: and get other people to promote your business in exchange for a commission.
  23. Start a Competition: and get people to enter their details for a chance to win a prize.
  24. Giveaways: give an ebook away about your niche in exchange for an email, everyone loves to get something for free. Give branded merchandise away.
  25. Consider Outbound Marketing: and contact people that may be interested in your product or service.
  26. Editorial Advertising: put an ad in a newspaper or periodical.
  27. Leaflet/pamphlet advertising: and post them in your neighbourhood.

  35. Get your Brand in the News: and get journalists to write about you.
  36. Video Marketing: you need to be professional and make your videos top-notch. I do not mean tik tok style. If it looks like you have spent money on video advertising it will look like you are successful.
  37. Vlogging: this a good way to have brand awareness, and get your staff to contribute. Have a video of the day in the life of a driving instructor or graphic designer etc. People like to have some sort of idea of how you manage a business which may give them inspiration.
  38. Influencers: are people that use social media platforms to promote, their products or other people’s products and services. Hire models and take photos and videos of them using your products or services and then share on all the platforms or get influencers to promote your products or services for you.
  39. Write a Book about your Business: or if you do not know where to start hire a writer that will write the book for you and then send it to businesses that may find your book useful. (You could have a book on the day in the life of a electrician or hairdresser…).
  40. Do a Publicity Stunt, publicity stunts are organised events designed to attract the public’s attention to the event’s organizers or their cause. Be unique and amaze your audience with a well-thought-through campaign.

Final Thoughts.

Nothing happens overnight, however, if you concentrate on social media and post banner ads eventually people will like and share and even buy. Be patient, stay focused and be consistent.

Persuasive Marketing Strategies Explained

Persuasive Marketing Strategies Explained.

Persuasive Marketing Strategies Explained.

Ever heard the saying “he could sell snow to the Eskimos“, this one happens to be my favorite but there are also others see below.

The meaning is the description of someone who is a clever and persuasive salesperson, such that they could sell something to people who have no need or use for it. As in the case of ‘Belle Delphine’ ‘GameGirl Bath Water’ which is trending right now and how she made $10M selling bath water to her followers. No, I am not going to promote her water 🤣.

(The phrase ‘selling ice to the Eskimo’s alludes to the various indigenous peoples of the traditionally cold, snowy northern circumpolar regions of the globe, who would have no shortage of and or no need to buy) snow or ice. However even Eskimos would not say no to Gelato or Sorbets for dessert, just a thought I wonder 🤔.

Other terms uses for sales techniques are:

  1. Sell ice to the Eskimos
  2. Sell a cape to Superman.
  3. Sell hay to a farmer.
  4. Sell wood to a forest.
  5. Sell religion to the Pope.
  6. Sell underwear to a nudist.
  7. Sell rope to a free climber.
  8. Sell a two-wheeled bike to a unicyclist.
  9. Sell crutches to an Olympic sprinter.
  10. Sell a cage to a lion.

“My take on this is that a web designer contacts a web designer to see if they need help building a website or an internet marketer contacts an internet marketer to see if they need any help with internet marketing”.

Depending on how you view this if you try and sell a product or service to someone that may not necessarily need it, this is called persuasive emotional marketing, such as Coke Cola for example:

PERSUASIVE MARKETING

PERSUASIVE MARKETING

Persuasion marketing is a marketing strategy that manipulates the human mind into thinking they desire the ideology of the product or service that is being marketed. It is the psychology of the power of persuasion that alters our emotions. When advertising companies use this strategy to make the product or service desirable going as far as to seduce the audience into thinking they need it.

‘Belle Delphone’ used her body as a tool to persuade her audience that the water she bathed in was a sexual extension of herself.

Many have criticized that at $22 dollar a bottle, no one in their right mind should have bought it. But people have fetishes and the porn industry is big business, She gained her audience by setting up an ‘only fans’ account where you pay a paid subscription to join and the models show parts of their bodies in exchange for money.

FINAL THOUGHTS!

I remember years ago in Glastonbury Somerset in the UK, Mud being sold on eBay as well as Britney Spears’s hair when she had a meltdown and shaved all her hair off. Glastonbury for everyone that does not know is a town in southwest England. It’s known for its ancient and medieval sites, many rich in myth. Believed to be King Arthur’s burial place.

Providing there is a market you can sell pretty much anything to anyone nowadays if you advertise your product or service well, regardless if it is by traditional methods or digital.

Grow your followers and you will have a platform to sell.

AI & Robot Domain Names

Evolution to Ape to Man to Robot

AI & Robot Domain Names

I read a vast amount of business news and can honestly say I have not heard of any AI or Robot manufacturers in Wales (Cymru) but you never know when the evolution of Robots increases by 900% you will find most businesses one-way or another will be using the technology if not also building it.

I wrote a post on the subject on my other blog today about how the likes of Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Elon Musk have jumped on the bandwagon and are heavily investing in this technology.

If you are into stocks and shares you should do a bit of research and see which companies you need to invest in. Obviously, I am not qualified or know the first thing about stock markets but is worth noting that if Billionaires are doing it you should follow them (not literally) but on social media and in the news and on all the financial websites to see what they are investing in.

This is my tip for the day and once I sell my domain names I will no doubt be able to invest in this technology also.

Business in Isolation

Securing your business:

An example of business isolation during lockdown may be a driving instructor, electrician, or a factory production company to just name just a few, so what do you do when you are on lockdown and in isolation how do you turn this around? You obviously do not want to lose your customers how do you generate more business and most importantly how do you survive and continue paying your staff that is the big question.

Firstly, the UK Government has grants and loans available that they are giving to businesses in need of help.

Secondly, defer production and explain to your customers situation, be transparent, and in order to secure business further down the line give incentives. I know you may be already finding finances hard but remember you have the business already established, you just need to postpone it for a little while and for new customers give them special offers so that you can secure their business.

Remember keep safe and don’t try to break the rules as you may lose your license or get fined, Sports Direct has already suffered public condemnation for needlessly trying to stay open and pubs who continue to trade in Lockins are liable to have their licenses taken off them.

Conduct daily morning meetings with your workers and give them motivation and inspiration to work. We can become very complacent in our own homes and have distractions that can easily send us astray. Workers need to stay focused and need to have daily tasks set for them with goals they need to achieve and report on.

When you have automatic recurring costs that you charge your customers, consider suspending the costs and giving them credit for future business. Work out your cash flow for the next few months and refrain from spending on unnecessary subscriptions and services, try to minimize your spending and evaluate your overheads as a whole and see where you can cut costs to the minimum. Discuss with your bank your situation and see if they can help you with extended loans or get government grants that can tide you over.

The government is bringing in new measures to assist small businesses, freelancers, and sole traders. Do keep up to speed on what assistance you are able to claim. If you have an accountant speak to them about any financial advice, they can give you, after all that’s what they are there for.

Secure your future:

Going back to the example of say driving instructors offer special offers like book your bulk 40 lessons now and get 6 -10 lessons free with lessons resuming in April for example. I am being optimistic the lockdown will be lifted in April.

Electricians can book your appointment now with work to be carried out in April with no call-out charge only if you use the code: covid19 and book now for example and the offer is only available for advanced bookings.

If you are a production company waive all charges in order to secure your business give incentives that is the key.

The public mindset will be altered over the next year or so, therefore you need to find ways to reassure your customers and give them a reason to use you. Marketing campaigns and advertising are going to be the main factors in order to generate new business. Consider what you need to do in order to drive business. LinkedIn is a good way to start advertising, but you need a lot of connections or know of someone that has a lot of connections. The alternative is to consider pay-per-click advertising such as Google AdWords, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Sponsor Ads.

Conclusion

***Stay positive. Every crisis eventually passes, position yourself for growth when it does.

Roath Business Directory & Community Hub.

ROATH LIFE LOGO

Raoth Life Business Directory & Community Hub.

Roath Life” in Cardiff UK has its own business directory and community hub website with a possible periodical (plans still in negotiation). The aim of the site is to get the Roath District of Cardiff closer together so that people can see at a glance what’s on as well finding a local business on their doorstep.

Any entrepreneurs wanting to help with this project are more than welcome to contact me.

Due to a lack of funding, I have sadly taken down the websites and forwarded the domains to this website. I am having to start from scratch rebuilding the directory one category at a time.

I have recently added ‘Cardiff Gas Engineers’ which can be found in the navigation menu at the top of this site under the header ‘Directories’.

Donate

Please invest in this project to help me to continue to develop this website and expand the business. (By donating or investing you will help me employ some people to help me with the development of the site.

I need help developing the site which is time-consuming and by advertising small businesses everyone in the local community will benefit from this venture).

Angel Investors or Private Equity Companies wishing to invest can get a commission from sales from Advertising and Services Sold. But first I need a small team of people and I am not looking for loans, so please do not offer any.

If you are reading this and perhaps have been recently unemployed, consider partnering with me, with no financial outlay just your hard work contribution in exchange for a commission on any leads that are secured by you.

I need an internet marketer in Cardiff UK, preferably Roath Area (who is familiar with the area), that can generate leads and who is able to do research as well as copy and paste content. This position is commission only at the moment until I can secure financing. Please send your CVs and inquiries to info@roathlife.com

***Due to absolutely no interest from the public regarding donations, I have taken the campaign down from donorbox.org along with the website.

Where I have all the information of the directories previously published I will merge them to the site.

I have since found some freelancers that can help me but this is going to prove costly which at the moment it is money I do not have.

I need someone with vision to partner with me.

I do not want to borrow money from the bank. So I will go it alone, it obviously will take me a lot longer to do and once it is built everyone who had the opportunity to help me (this also includes my family and so-called friends) and could but chose not to and turned a blind eye. If someone asked for my help I know I would try rather than totally ignore them, I would definitely try to support them in some way and protect their mental health.
