Holograms

Holograms

Holograms are three-dimensional images that appear to float in space. They are created using a process called holography, which uses lasers, mirrors, and special film to record and display an image. Holography has been around for over half a century, but it is only in recent years that it has become more widely known and used for a variety of purposes.

The basic concept of holography is that it records the interference pattern created when two laser beams intersect. One of the beams, called the reference beam, is directed straight onto the film, while the other, called the object beam, passes through the object to be recorded before hitting the film. The interference pattern created by the two beams is recorded on the film, and when it is illuminated with the reference beam, it creates the illusion of a three-dimensional object floating in space.

Holography has a number of unique properties that make it an important tool in various fields. One of these is its ability to store vast amounts of information in a small space. This is due to the fact that a hologram is essentially a 2D image that contains all the information required to recreate a 3D object.

Holographic technology is being used by many industries.

The list of sectors that have already implemented Holograms is as follows:

1. Telecommunications

In 2017, Verizon (USA) and Korea Telecom (South Korea) made the first holographic call using 5G technology.

2. Education

In 2015, the Nobel laureate and professor of physics at Stanford University, Karl Wieman, spoke at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) without leaving the United States. In 2013, St George’s University of London introduced holograms capable of displaying the working organs of a human body. The presentation showcased three-dimensional images of kidneys four meters in length, a skull, and other parts of the body.

3. Spatial navigation

In 2017, scientists from the Munich University of Technology developed a method for obtaining three-dimensional holograms using a Wi-Fi router. The method described in the study allows for creating copies of premises by displaying objects around them. This technology can be used to find and rescue victims trapped under an avalanche or within collapsed buildings.

4. Marketing and direct sales

Product holograms are a new marketing ploy to grab the attention of customers. With the help of a hologram, you can enlarge a 3D copy of a product and make it viewable from all sides. This is convenient for customers who want to see their desired purchase in full detail. In 2017, Barbie presented a holographic robotic doll that responds to voice commands. The toy was able to respond to questions about the weather and discuss other topics.

5. Music shows

A hologram of Eric Prydz’s face acted as the closing of his EPIC 5.0 show in London, in 2017. The performance of the popular French DJ was accompanied by an impressive laser show. At the end of the evening, over 300 lasers formed a volumetric hologram of the DJ’s head.

6. The return of historical figures

In 2012, Digital Domain studio, specializing in VFX for de-aging Hollywood stars in movies, brought Tupac Shakur back to life as an exceptional 3D hologram. Using an actor and body double, they created animations for a lifelike digital avatar of Tupac. In 2014, Tupac appeared at Coachella in his digital human form.

7. Medicine

Medical holography provides 3D image holograms that can move around and zoom in and out. These holograms enable healthcare professionals to identify problems associated with complex organs such as the brain or heart, where abnormalities might be subtle.

8. Business

Facebook Metaverse is not the only company changing the way of online meetings, Microsoft has created an AR/VR workroom called ‘Mesh’. The ‘platform is a focused event held inside its virtual reality community interface Altspace, Microsoft showcased a new product aiming to provide their AR HoloLens platform and VR Windows Mixed Reality platform with a shared platform for meetings.

The future of holographic technology

The future of holography lies at the intersection of AI, digital human technology, and voice cloning. The consistent increase in worldwide computing power will allow for the creation of digital human models that will render at an ever-accelerating pace that will make them more and more difficult to tell apart from real ones.

In turn, the evolution of holographic technologies will lead to their increasing availability and portability. Imagine if holographic content could one day be as accessible as streaming content: holographic cinema, holographic theater, and music shows.

Augmented reality will no longer require wearing special glasses but will be directly integrated into landscape objects. We already know how holographic pedestrian crossings and holographic advertising work. But we can only imagine how our cities and lives will be changed as the evolutionary pace of technology continues to accelerate.

Another important property of holography is its ability to provide a highly secure method of authentication. This is because it is very difficult to copy a hologram, and any attempt to do so will result in a noticeable difference in the image. This makes holograms a popular choice for use on banknotes, passports, and other secure documents.

Holography is also being used in a number of cutting-edge technological applications. For example, it is being used to create virtual reality experiences, as well as to develop new types of displays for smartphones, televisions, and other devices. Additionally, researchers are exploring the use of holography in medical imaging, where it could potentially provide a more detailed and accurate view of the body.

One of the most exciting possibilities for holography is its potential use in creating truly immersive virtual reality experiences. By using holograms, it may one day be possible to create environments that are completely indistinguishable from reality. This could have major implications for a wide range of fields, including gaming, education, and even military training.

In conclusion, holography is a fascinating and rapidly evolving field that has the potential to revolutionize many aspects of our lives. From its ability to store vast amounts of information in a small space, to its potential use in creating truly immersive virtual reality experiences, holography offers a glimpse into the future of technology.

Neuralink Technology

Neuralink Technology

Neuralink Corporation is a neurotechnology company developing invasive implantable brain-machine interfaces and was founded by Elon Musk and others. The company’s headquarters is in the Pioneer Building in San Francisco sharing offices with OpenAI. Neuralink was launched in 2016 and was first publicly reported in March 2017.

The Link is the first neural implant that will let you control a computer or mobile device anywhere you go.

Micron-scale threads are inserted into areas of the brain that control movement. Each thread contains many electrodes and connects them to an implant, the Link.

Neurosurgery – The threads on the Link are so fine and flexible that they can’t be inserted by the human hand. Instead, we are building a robotic system that the neurosurgeon can use to reliably and efficiently insert these threads exactly where they need to be.

Neuralink is a device that will first be used to help paraplegics with simple tasks such as using an iPhone and making mouse clicks on a computer — by making no physical movement. … So far, Neuralink prototypes have been tested on rodents and animals (pigs) and apparently even a monkey, according to Musk.

According to the Neuralink site, the question asked is why electrodes need to be connected directly to the brain. Neural activity can be monitored from outside the head using non-invasive techniques such as EEG. With these techniques, each channel records the summed activity of millions of neurons, which means the details are blurred away. An example of this is experiencing a sports event through a microphone placed outside the stadium. From the roars or groans of the crowd, you can tell when something good or bad happens to the home team, but you’ll have a hard time distinguishing whether they scored or made a great defensive play. And you certainly wouldn’t be able to hear what individual people were saying about the game. The same is true for recording from the brain: recordings made at a distance provide some useful, high-level information, but to access fine-scale information, you need to be close to the source, which means recording action potentials, or voltage “spikes,” from individual neurons. Currently, that can only be done by placing electrodes inside the brain.

Note From the Editor

I am particularly interested in neuroscience technology as I am researching and studying neuroplasticity with the view to curing my brain and my intrusive negative thoughts. I am watching Neuralink evolve to see how it may in the future use no invasive technology to combat issues of depression and anxiety and other mental health illnesses.

I like the idea of being able to download our memories and upload them somewhere else. This would be beneficial for people with severe brain damage. However, to upload this data one would have to use massive amounts of storage space as we as humans have according to Dr. Leaf, “the average person has over 30,000 thoughts a day.” Many of these are a result of uncontrolled thinking. Often grief takes over so much that it turns into depression and anxiety and other representations of ill mental and physical health.

Update 10/28/21

METAVERSE“.

Metaverse keyword comes to mind, as I write this update I am currently listening to a live feed on Facebook hosted by the CEO himself, Mark Zuckerberg.

Metaverse is the creation of the future where you will be able to teleport anywhere around the world, excellent for people with disabilities that may find traveling challenging. It will save on carbon footprints and help to keep the planet green. Businesses could save time and money traveling to meetings when they could hold virtual holographic meetings from the comfort of their homes or offices. Surgeons will be able to perform operations from the other side of the world using AR & VR. Student Doctors will be able to perform virtual operations as practice and education. People will be able to virtually swim with the dolphins or explore the great barrier reef. Schools. Colleges and Universities will be able to conduct virtual lectures.

People who are wheelchair-bound will be able to use their avatars and work out in the virtual reality space. The possibilities are endless.

Metaverse generally refers to shared virtual world environments which people can access via the internet.

The domain name www.AIINVENTIONS.com is the site people will be searching for to find the latest trending inventions. This is exciting especially as I am an advocate for people with disabilities and it was only by chance I stumbled upon this.

As most of my readers know I am a website designer and also have disabilities. I think “Metaverse” will certainly help with my disabilities in the future and people like myself.

**Please Note: Although I am promoting the domain name with the view of selling it I am now in two minds to develop it myself and will consider a partnership. My vision would be to offer advertising space to showcase the latest trending inventions and promote other people’s inventions, it all depends on who can bring me an offer I will not be able to refuse.

I will be monitoring the progress more closely and will be writing future articles on these exciting inventions. I will be keeping a close eye on this evolving technology.

We will in the future be able to step beyond the physical world. Who knows we may all become immortal someday and be connected with loved ones for eternity. Our memories could be stored uploaded and transferred to AI Smart Bots.

Final Notes.

My Ideas unless they have already been invented. 1) I think a handy invention would be a gadget that can release smells, such as perfumes, scents, or food smells. If it has not been invented I claim the idea here first. 2) Another invention to replace eyesight (blindness) with a digital lens that can be linked to the brain which would be able to see, record, and store data, again if this has not been invented you saw it here first, and finally, 3) a people tracker to keep their distance of two meters apart in the form of an app that alerts the user that another person is close by, this would be especially useful in a Pandemic or for women walking home alone. Foot Note. I am not an inventor, they are just ideas, but they are my ideas nonetheless and unless someone has already thought of them already. I will be doing some research and your comments are will be appreciated.
