S.A. Brain Brewery.
Brains is the brand name of SA Brain & Co, a family-owned brewing and hospitality company based in Cardiff.
Over the last few years, the future of the famous Welsh brand has come into question, with the suggestion that the brewing operation of 150 different beers will move outside of Wales.
SA Brain exchanged contracts with Marston’s last year to operate 145 of its pubs in Wales after ongoing coronavirus restrictions placed Brains under significant financial pressure. The group has around 200 pubs in total across Wales and the southwest.
Last month concerns were raised, when Marston’s asked some pub Brains’ pub landlords to become self-employed.
A spokesman for the property advisory firm that is trying to sell the pubs on behalf of the brewery is said to have quoted ”This is a rare opportunity to acquire a large, high-quality package of public houses located in strong trading positions across Wales. They benefit from a secure income streamlet to an excellent covenant. We anticipate significant levels of demand as packages of this quality rarely come to the market.”
It comes as no surprise in light of the aftermath of the Coronavirus pandemic that the hospitality industry was hit the hardest and that a lot of businesses went bust, so it only makes sense that a brewery is selling off some of its assets.
People will still want to go to their favourite pubs for food and drink come rain or shine and have great nights out, hence this little gem should be snapped up pretty quickly.
This is a great opportunity for an offshore investor to take over some of the greatest pubs in South Wales.

Regardless of what industry you are in, you always want more business. However, for startups, it is even more daunting when your phone does not ring or you have tonnes of emails with people selling you things but you have no inquiries.
So you have got a business plan and you think you have it all worked out but you still have no customers so what do you do?
In this article, I will list some ideas that you may not have thought about.
But first, we have to establish the difference between a small business and a large powerhouse. With a corporation or business that has been established for many years their brand name is well known and people will always choose a well-known brand over a lesser-known one.
If you are just starting out or are struggling to get business through the door, you may have to adopt different strategies to get you noticed. If this is the case you need your business to be in the news you need to be consistent and not hide behind your brand but instead be out there flying your flag high.
A more established company will have more money to spend on advertising and on staff and employee incentives. These companies use marketing agencies to help them get more exposure and will encourage their staff to publicize their company, products, and services
If you are a small business for example of 1-10 employees and your advertising budget may be on a shoestring, you have to invent ways to advertise your brand on next to nothing.
So here is a list of things to do to increase business.
(Some are free and some are pay per click or editorial or offline advertising suggestions)
Start a podcast, talk about your company, conduct interviews with people that are making the news in the same industry as you.
Start a Vlog and set up your own YouTube Channel.
Consider Video Marketing, design your own videos or hire an agency.
Start a Blog and write regular content. Do make sure the domain name has the exact match searchable keywords and phrases.
Perform a SEO audit report and see how you can optimise your website/blog to perform better.
Get backlinks.
Get Like for Likes on social media groups and pages.
Guest blog for free on other peoples blogs or comment on their articles. Some companies even pay you if they find your articles useful.
Network with other businesses, LinkedIn is a good place to start and if you have networking events in your area consider going to one or two and start making acquaintances.
Make use of all your social media platforms. Create business pages and join groups and like, comment and share your blog posts and interact with other business owners, don’t forget to use hashtags and if permitted backlinks to your page or site.
Set up a business forum in your niche through WordPress, they have plugins that are already designed for you.
Join Business Forums and interact.
Set up a (chat) on your website and blogs so that you can interact with your visitors (www.talk.to is free). Remember to have the chat bot on during office hours.
Share Banner Ads on Social Media, Platforms, Pages and Groups.
Advertise in Business Directories (most are free).
Advertise on Classified Ads (Some are free, like Gumtree, Craiglist and FreeAds).
Interact with local communities, some have websites (Quora, Reddit) aswell as Facebook groups.
Set up a local workshop.
Do Public Speaking.
Offer free business consultation if you are in the industry of helping business grow.
Offer to advertise other peoples businesses, products and service on your site free of charge for a limited time.
Sell your advertising space to business owners.
They say the money is in the list, set up a newsletter and send out information to your contacts. Offer incentives to get people to sign up to your newsletters.
Consider Affiliate Marketing where you get paid if someone clicks an ad you are displaying on your site or through an email list or newsletter.
Pay people to advertise your business through companies such as ‘Clickbank’ ‘Rakuten Linkshare’, ‘Shareasale’.
Write an ebook that you can offer your customers in exchange for their email.
Set up an event such as a conference, auction, or networing seminar.
Sponsor an event, this could mean you may have to either pay/domate or offer your services for free. This will give exposure to your company and your brand.
Organise an open house and offer wine tasting or set up a stall and sell your products and services. The series on Netflix “Selling Sunset” hosted parties and a wedding in a few of their luxury properties they were selling to VIP guests, multi-million dollar real estate.
Set up an auction or fashion show and get other businesses to donate something and charge an entry fee for the evening of the event with your brand name in the limelight.
Partner with a small business, offer your products and services at a discounted price and ask them to do the same in exchange. They may be a Web Designer but may not offer marketing, whilst you as a marketing agency could offer your service in exchange for leads and visa versa.

Consider leaflet drops to businesses or homes depending on the industry you are in.
Sell a course online to educate people in your industry.
Sell merchandise with your company name.

Pitch your business to angel investors, private equity firms to raise funding and spread awareness. Angel investors may put you in touch with some of their contacts if they think your business is viable, in exchange for a commission on every introduction.
Set up a squeeze page using click funnels to your offer.
Consider advertising your busness on other sites (rate card advertising prices will apply).
Google Ads not only help with ranking they will get you on the first page of Google instantaneously providing you meet the bidding price of your daily budget.
Facebook Ads, can fine tune the audience you wish to target.
Instagram Ads – Instagram has over 500 million users per month.
Start following people and businesses in your niche on Instagram and interact with their posts.
Newspaper Ads.
Editorial Publication Ad Campaign.
Guerilla Marketing, do something outlandish but first get permission from the local council and the police. If you are a web designer set up a office type table and chair in a busy high street and when people ask what you are doing you can hand out your business cards. Baroness Michelle Mone did a stunt promoting her ‘Ultimo Bra’ brand back in the day when she was starting out by having actors dressed up as plastic surgeons protesting that ‘Ultimo’ was putting them out of business. The day of the event all her bra’s got sold out. Hire a plane or drone with the flogo and have your advert flown sky high.
Promotional giveaways, you can do this digitally or can set up a physical stall, you can giveaway products and services but do get permission first if you plan to do it in a public place.
Make the most of trade shows by either networking or setting up a stand an expo.
Create your own App.
Billboard advertising is another way to attract business, such as bus stops and on sides of buildings.
Advertise on Publish Transport on the side of buses and taxis.
Send your products and services to influencers and celebrities and ask them to endorse your brand.
Advertise your business on Black Cabs if you are in the UK and Yellow Cabs in the States.
TV & Radio Advertising.
Help non profit organisations by donating or marketing, either way the charities will advertise you.
Go physically into businesses that are in the same niche as yours and if you are a pet sitting/dog walker business go to your local vets and ask them to display your posters or brochures. If you are selling cruises get your local high street travel agents to display your information.
Offer your services for free for the first month or so, get people to sign contracts as they could take you up on the offer and then walk away once it is ended. Or if you are selling a product why not “try before you buy” type of offer.
Ask businesses if they would like free exposure to their products and services and display, their merchandise in your establishment, moreover they may also do the same for you.
Go to cafes and grocery stores where they have message boards and display your information, or if you are more high end, visit hospitality venues and advertise your products and services there. Give them incentives to market your business such as an exclusive discount and mention their name in the print.
Start a directory of businesses in your niche and offer both free and paid listings. When constructing the directory contact each business owner and tell them they have a free listing. This will give you the opportunity to explain who you are and offer them more exposure with more prominent paid advertising. Instead of waiting for the mountain to come to Mohammed, get Mohammed to go to the mountain.

Early Steps To Take for a Long-Lasting Business
Starting a new business means juggling many responsibilities — not only for your livelihood but for that of your partners and employees. Administrative duties aren’t the most glitzy or appealing parts of the business. But if you develop effective and reliable methods to get them done — like these from Cymru Marketing — you’ll be closer to launching a successful business.
What, exactly, are the least appealing but most important behind-the-scenes tasks you need to do for your young business?
Banking Matters: Accounting and Payroll
From the moment your business launches and years into its lifecycle, you want to have organized, thoroughly documented financial data. As SmallBizDaily points out, accounting informationhelps you analyze your business’s performance, and it’s important for filing taxes — errors or missed deadlines in your business’s taxes can result in penalties. As your business grows, so will your accounting needs, so you may decide to hire an accountant or use software to take care of the books.
Similarly, a meticulous payroll system will serve you well both in the early days of your business and after it’s fully established. If your payroll taxes aren’t managed correctly, you may incur penalties, so look for a service that offers penalty protection.
The ideal small biz software apps will also streamline other payment processes to save you time, like employee time tracking, fast direct deposit, and automatic payroll calculation with all the payroll forms applied correctly.
Getting Your Start-Up on Its Feet: Funding Options
Accounting and payroll are financial processes that come into play only when your organization has actually secured funding. Funding is perhaps the most basic requirement of having any kind of business, notes Think Latitude, so even if it’s not an appealing part of the work, it is a priority. There are many ways to go about financing your enterprise, each with different advantages.
If you’re starting a business that has a chance at explosive growth, you may consider seeking out venture capital funding from investors. If investors choose to work with you, they can be a huge help in providing the money (“seed capital”) you need to launch your business. They’ll also most likely become members of your company or have some portion of ownership in the business.
Other strategies for funding a new business are crowdfunding, an internet-based effort, or self-financing, which means that you pay the expenses of starting the business yourself and own the business in its entirety.
The Organization at Its Core: Choosing the Operational Structure
One way to approach the need for funding, and the structure of your business as a whole, is by choosing the type of operational structure you’ll be running. Several options are available, including forming a limited company, a sole trader, a partnership, or a limited liability partnership (LLP).
Each type of organization comes with its own set of pros and cons, all dependent on what’s the best fit for your business. For instance, the LLP structure offers both immediate and long-term advantages: It limits personal liability in cases of debt or bankruptcy and is pretty easy to create and operate either on your own, with a lawyer, or through a service.
Starting a business is one of the most exciting career steps you can take, and streamlining the chores of getting started leaves more room for you to enjoy yourself. When technical tasks aren’t stressing you out or slowing you down, you can focus on perfecting the product or service that you set out to share with the world, celebrating what you’ve accomplished alongside your team, and maybe even taking time off.
It was not available last year as I am always looking for ways to generate more traffic, so I was surprised to see it on the IONOS marketplace and had to grab it.
SEO Link Wheel.
I am happy I have the dot com as I will have no use for any other domain extension, just in case anyone approached me regarding the .co.uk just saying… Furthermore, if someone then decides to develop the co.uk version there may be a reason to start a UDRP.
Website Development.
It is what came first the chicken or the egg scenario. I developed a website on a dot com (king of domains) long before any other counterpart.
Branding.
This domain will serve as another cog to my ever-expanding SEO link wheel. This domain is a keeper as it has played on my mind whenever I say ‘Cymru’ not everyone I speak to knows what the word means. It is the Welsh Word for Wales and as well as people not knowing how to pronounce it let alone spell it, may also find difficulty remembering it. Hence that is why I am excited to add an addition to my lead generation marketing strategies.
Obviously, the site is not fully developed as I only acquired it today but over the next few weeks, time permitting, I will build this site to accompany my default sites.
I have also kept my ‘Cymru Marketing’ Logo Initials where the (CM) stands for Cymru Marketing, whereas now the initials are reversed to Marketing Cardiff (MC). However had I re-designed the initials the M letter does not sit right on the letter C, hence I have left the lettering the same. As long as I get the traffic what’s a couple of letters in a logo. If anything it makes the logo even more unique and talked about after all ‘Cymru Marketing’ is here to stay and it will always be one of my default websites, with ‘Marketing Cardiff’ as an add-on.
The way I see it the logo is recognizable it has been around for a few years and people who recognize and relate to an image can memorize images symbols and logos far quicker than remembering words. People will see the logo and see it as a trustworthy source, so why confuse people with more than one logo, at the end of the day it is a personal preference and my decision. If anything the logo says that ‘Cymru Marketing Brand ‘ is behind ‘Marketing Cardiff’.
One has to remember that exact match searchable keywords and phrases domain names will rank your website far quicker and will secure global positioning providing you do your SEO correctly.
Having brandable made-up words, acronyms or personal brand names needs extensive Advertising and PR, whilst having searchable words people actively search for will save you money in the long run. Choose your domain names carefully and if you need some help with your SEO link wheel we will be happy to give you some free advice and do a free SEO audit report of your website.
As an example I have my own personal brand domain name www.renataentrepreneur.com but if people do not know who you are and have never heard of you before they are not going to be searching for you. Fortunately for me, I have been around for donkeys’ years so I am well known in certain circles.
Even if you are ranked for keywords that you have assigned in your meta description people are less likely to view your site as opposed to the and exact match searchable keyword or phrase domain name. You would have to be well known or a household name which can take a long time to achieve before people started to search for you.
Valuation.
The domain name www.marketingcardiff.com on estibot.com is according to the bot worth less than $100 but on Godaddy Appraisal Tool it is worth $904
To be honest, I rarely use these bots and whenever I am appraising a domain name. I do my calculations based on Google Keyword Planner and how many searches per month and the cost of the PPC bids would be. I then can advise that having a certain domain name would save the investor in advertising costs.
However, if the domain name has equity such as a product, service, website, and assets then you are talking about a different ball game, and even though I have no intention to sell this domain name my equity which these bots do not know about will increase the value.
I have decided today to take a leaf out of my own book and practice what I preach.
With that said I am going to develop a directory of businesses and forums on my site where people can come and hang out. It is in the beta stage at the moment, watch this space.
There is a saying ‘If the mountain will not come to Muhammad, then Muhammad must go to the mountain‘ arises from the story of Muhammad, as retold by Francis Bacon, in Essays, 1625: Mahomet called the Hill to come to him. … If the mountain will not come to Mahomet, Mahomet will go to the mountain.
In other words get people to come to you, rather than you going to them, moving one stone at a time you will eventually move the mountain.
Design and market a business blog. In fact, I have several and use them as part of my SEO link wheel. Once you have decided what your blog is about you need to have categories of different topics people actively search for and want help with. Tip use keywords in your categories.
Guest Blog on other people’s blogs. This will create backlinks back to your default site. Ask bloggers in your LinkedIn contacts if they would be happy to publish your articles. Find Blogs similar to your niche and gust blog posts there.
Write posts on groups and social media pages. It is a good idea to also have your own group and pages.
For Online Social Media advertising: you can have a Video or Squeeze pages which can help increase your total number of conversions while providing you with enough information needed to nurture leads into sales. This applies to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Adwords: obviously you need a budget for this and Google often do promotional incentives for first-time users such as getting £75.00 free credit if you spend £25.00
LinkedIn Ads: are similar to Google Ads the only difference is your LinkedIn ads will only be visible on LinkedIn. However, because LinkedIn is a Business Platform this is by far one of the best ways to connect and network.
Offer online courses: and sell your courses on sites like UDEMY. Obviously, the best place to sell it is on your own websites and social media platforms. Put together a “how to” course and teach people a trade.
Local Workshops: are a good way to network and get like-minded people together. This can be done online although pending lockdown restrictions and regulations this can also be a physical place to meet.
Business Listings: if you are already registered with Google My Business you should make Google your friend, and they will track you and rank you faster.
List your business with all the main business directories, like Yell, and Yelp. 192 etc.
List your business on Classified websites: such as Cardiff Free Ads. Just type into Google search, Classified ads and you will get your answer through the search results.
List your Business on Business Forums and Community websites.
Post articles on Quora and Reddit.
Post Articles on all your Social Media Pages: consistently otherwise people lose interest and the more times your brand is visible the more popular you will become.
Talk At Events: If you like talking, why not speak at events, and talk about your product, brand, and story?
Host a Conference: get people to come to you, and get them networking.
Partner with a Competitor: that way you can help each other.
Partner with a Non-Competing Business: that may benefit your skills.
Go to Networking Events: Hosted by Other people, this can be online and physical.
Ask for Referrals: Start with family and friends and ask them to share your business cards and social media shares with their connections, you will be surprised how many people will get to see your business. Getting referrals and utilizing your network can be a quick and easy way to score more client projects.
Set Up a Suppliers Page: on your blog/website and get people to advertise. (For example if you are an electrician advertise businesses that sell electrical equipment or if you are a hair salon then haircare products).
Set up an Affiliate Marketing Program: and get other people to promote your business in exchange for a commission.
Start a Competition: and get people to enter their details for a chance to win a prize.
Giveaways: give an ebook away about your niche in exchange for an email, everyone loves to get something for free. Give branded merchandise away.
Consider Outbound Marketing: and contact people that may be interested in your product or service.
Editorial Advertising: put an ad in a newspaper or periodical.
Leaflet/pamphlet advertising: and post them in your neighbourhood.
Notice Boards in Supermarkets and Coffee Shops: leave your business card or small leaflet. Leave your merchandise, keyfobs, pens, hand sanitisers, pin badges, balloons, and mini notebooks (This depends on your advertising budget).
Wear Branded Cothing: that has your website address visible in bold, this is advertising on the go.
Design a Magazine: and get businesses to advertise.
Have an Advertising Banneron your Vehicle: you can get magnetic banners.
Gift your Family, Friends, and Neighbours with Branded Merchandise: such as fridge magnets, pens, key fobs, mini notebooks, and branded facemasks. Give things that people will use rather than throw away.
Give a Trial Offer: for your product or service. If you give something for free you are giving people the opportunity to test and trust you.
Sponsor an event or auction off something using advertising, and marketing strategies.
Get your Brand in the News: and get journalists to write about you.
Video Marketing: you need to be professional and make your videos top-notch. I do not mean tik tok style. If it looks like you have spent money on video advertising it will look like you are successful.
Vlogging: this a good way to have brand awareness, and get your staff to contribute. Have a video of the day in the life of a driving instructor or graphic designer etc. People like to have some sort of idea of how you manage a business which may give them inspiration.
Influencers: are people that use social media platforms to promote, their products or other people’s products and services. Hire models and take photos and videos of them using your products or services and then share on all the platforms or get influencers to promote your products or services for you.
Write a Book about your Business: or if you do not know where to start hire a writer that will write the book for you and then send it to businesses that may find your book useful. (You could have a book on the day in the life of a electrician or hairdresser…).
Do a Publicity Stunt, publicity stunts are organised events designed to attract the public’s attention to the event’s organizers or their cause. Be unique and amaze your audience with a well-thought-through campaign.
Final Thoughts.
Nothing happens overnight, however, if you concentrate on social media and post banner ads eventually people will like and share and even buy. Be patient, stay focused and be consistent.

I noticed today a post on LinkedIn from someone that was connected with me but was not an internet marketer per-se, stating “How to increase followers from 30K to 225K followers” in five minutes per day by commenting#yes
The first thing that came to mind is he has no authority to advise considering he is and what I saw was a clever click bait hack and nothing more. This is a disappointment when people are genuinely looking for answers and come across someone just looking out for him/herself, simply having people click the post for the post to go no where.
Therefore I have taken upon myself to write this post to help individuals increase followers/business. This method can be applied to all social media platforms:
1: Optimize Your Profile Pages, optimise your cover photo and also your profile picture. Make your profile picture look professionally done. Remember to be aware of your background in the photo. A picture says a thousand words. Try to get a professional head shot done at a local photographic studio (when they are open again) or get a friend to take a photo without any distractions in the backdrop.
2: Start with connecting with people, most social media platforms say only connect with the people you know, but what if you have a genuine enquiry, the best thing is to find their email addresses to write to them first before sending them a connection request, especially of you do not know them.
3: Write articles on your pages and link back to articles you have written on your blogs and share these articles with your connections.
4: Make your post intriguing only give a little away and entice the reader to click you post for more information.
5. Share photos on your social media platform pages, instagram is good for this or do infographics and add titles to your posts.
6: Be creative and publish videos, add captivating content that people will be willing to watch. Add humour, funny videos attract peoples attention.
7: Go Live. Livestreaming is not for everyone but if you are happy broadcasting an event or milestone as long as it has good content you will get people watching.
8: Advertise your brochures and share your pdf’s on your business pages.
9: Use hashtags when closing your post text.
10: Don’t forget to tag your connections and companies that may find your post useful.
11: Give your followers valuable advice. Everyone is a guru these days and some can be better at it than others but you only have one chance of being an expert in your niche and the more followers you have the more well known you will become.
12: RSS feeds are a good way of finding trending posts, create “breaking news” posts that perhaps people outside your region may not have heard of. Do not copy posts word for word as that is called plagiarism and you will be penalised by search engines. For me I always use one of my blogs to write articles which I then share with my connections and although I may read something I will scramble it into my own words, even giving my own perspective.
13: Be consistant and active everyday on all your social media platforms. I am perhaps the world worst as I only seem to hang out on LinkedIn because most of my work is B2B but recently I have been asked to do B2C hence I need to alter my mind set and concentrate on Facebook pages and groups more.
14: Create viral posts this could be something like a give away or a competition with a deadline.
15: Join groups on your social media platforms.
16: Create your own groups for your different niches.
17: Create your own business pages on all your social media platforms, keep your professional and personal pages seperate.
18: If you have an event coming up or thinking of creating one, social media is a good place to advertise and market yourself.
19: Once you have a following on your social media platforms do reach out and collaborate with your connections.
20: Set the buttons on your profiles to a “Follow” button.
21: Create a call to action in every post.
22: Promote your social media profiles everywhere, including your website, blogs and email signatures.
23: Cross promote your profile on your other social media channels. For me I have on default business card website that I point people to, this saves time typing out each social media platform I am connected to.
24: Pay per click advertising campaigns are not only good with Google & Bing but they are also is a good way of connecting with people through your social media platforms. Facebook & Instagram is a place where you can connect B2C, this is good if you are targeting a specific category or people. You can fine tune your specifications to the location, age, gender and interests.
25: Try to update your profile page frequently, a stagnant page is boring and will show your audience that you are frequesnt at updating. If you have new services, always keep them updated.
26: Always reply to comments, no matter how trivial, ignoring a comment makes the person who wrote it worthless. Obviously if you have hundreds of thousand of comments pick out the ones that stand out and thank everyone in a generic comment.
27: When people share your posts and pages, thank them.
28: Get your biggest fans to endorse you, this applies to LinkedIn more so than any other social media channel and visa versa, you will be amazed how may people who you endorse will endorse you back. The same goes with review ask your customers to write a review about your brand.
29: If you have businesses that wish you to promote them, do offer to write recommendations, this gives you exposure aswell as exposure for your client, but if the businesses wish more exposure you could offer other marketing strategies which you could potentially charge for the service. I do this free of charge by adding banner ads to all my social media pages and groups I am connected on. This is short lived advertising but for a permanent fixture on my blogs I charge a monthy/yearly fee.
30: Exact match searchable keyword and phrases are so important not only in your domain name but on your website, meta tags and social media pages. When choosing a Facebook page for example use words that people would use to search for your product or service rather than your unknown brand name. Your brand name will become popular over time and it will not be an overnight success unless you spend a lot of money on advertising, I just do not mean Google Ads I mean in publications, newspapers, radio and TV.
31: Make your social media profile searchable, make them public.
32: When commenting on other peoples posts, do not get personal and do not get into trolling arguments if someone does not see the value of your comment. Be professional and do not sell things on peoples posts. You could add a backlink to your company as a signature or hashtag but thats it, don’ be the pushy sales person.
33: Give incententives to get people to share your posts. This could be a free e-book or a discount voucher.
35: Become an influencer.
36. Become a public speaker.
37: Create educational webinars, podcasts, tutorials, use youtube and share your content on all social media platforms.
38. Create a SEO link wheel, of your websites, blogs and social media platforms.
39. Start a blog and add RSS feeds so that in engages people’s interests.
40. Have a subscribe widget or pop up so that you can capture peoples emails and then send them updates or newsletters. Do not install the popup until a person is about to exit your site and not before. I believe it is off putting to have a subscribe popup the moment you attempt to access a site. You need to earn my trust and loyalty before I give my email away.
41. Integrate a chat widget into your websites and blogs so that when visitors visit your sites you can engage with them.
42: Guest blog on other notable websites.
43: Become a podcast interviewer. Invite people to join you in a discussion.
44. Write a book about you and your niche and publish your services and products.
45. Leave business cards on noticeboards in supermarkets, cafes (when they open again).
46. Make flyers and post them through peoples doors.
47. Consider giving out freebies, such as buy one get one free.
51. Offer to do something for free, this could be free web hosting in my case or free marketing or promotion.
52. Wear promotional clothing.
53. Give away promotional merchandise.
54. Word of mouth advertising get all your family and friends to promote you and get their family and friends and before you know it you have a network of connections.
55. Do outbound marketing, like picking up the phone and calling or writing snail mail letters.
56. Enlist the help of other advocates in your industry, find a mentor.
57. As your employees to engage in your social media pages, make them contributors.
58. Post your articles at ceratin times of the day. I find that during working hours people are busy getting on with business. So you have to pick times that appeal to your network browsing times, otherwise you posts may not get a look in. However according to LinkedIn’s their busiest hours are in the morning and midday from Monday to Friday. This will ensure your post to get maximum reach.
59. Add multiple admins to you pages and ask your colleagues to help you.
60. Join all the social media platforms and follow companies and people of interest.

People in all walks of life have someone they know who thinks they are better than everyone else.
The may claim to be experts even though they blag their way through life to gain the attention and respect they so crave.
Whether it is business or at home there is always an elimant of self worth where we try to prove we are sometimes something we are not.
Just because we may have a title, a badge are a celebrity, royalty or a tycoon, does not give anyone the right to treat others the way you would not like to be treated. Just because you have money, are a director of a company does not give you the right to be unkind, use and abuse and be cruel. Money does not bring you happiness, enriching other people brings you happiness and respect.
You do not gain respect for how much money you have in your bank, you gain respect by teaching others how you made that money and how you can empower that individual to also be as successful as you.
The “Do Unto Others” Bible Verse
Matthew 7:12 – “So in everything, do unto others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”
Its can be borderline narcissistic to look down ones nose at another being for what ever reason we so choose.
We should not judgeor make innuendos and sit on our thrown casting stones, we should also not use or abuse people and treat people badly especially the vulnerable.
However people with money and power think they can buy what ever they want and treat people without any respect. We in society are segregated into classes and the people on the top of the food chain are usually the ones that do not care what happens to the ordinary folk, that is why the world is the way it is. Unfortunately I cannot change the world single handily.
Did you know there is a chemical our brains produce when we do something kind or witness another person being kind?, it is called ‘Oxytocin’ The chemical is responsible for feeling love and connection and the more kinder you are the more people are enriched and also do kind things in return.
People want to be respected yet not everyone does get that privilege and there are many especially in business the higher up the ladder they sit, the more mightier some people seem to think they are.
As an example I know of a certain individual without mentioning any names that has sat on his high chair claiming to be an expert in more than one field. This person was once a startup and he too yearnes the respect yet he shows none to others.
I put it down to the fact he is feeling insecure about himself so he spouts out atrocities to feel better about himself without actually realising what he has done to the other person that he may in fact not know very well.
Before casting stones think what it will do to the other person. Some people cannot handle critisism and this may actually tip them over the edge.
Do you want to be that peron that has pushed another too far?
Would you be able to sleep at night if you knew someone had harmed themselves because of you.
Just because you feel intimidated do not intimidate someone else to make yourself feel better.
Some of the greatest entrepreneurs of our time have struggled with fear and self doubt. Just because they hide behind their clean and crisp shiny suites does not make them “super ceo’s”. You cannot know for certain what is going through someones mind when you make detrimental comments about another person. You do not know what the other person has gone through when you make your own opinions about that person.
Here are some tips about gaining respect and teaching it to others.
1. Respect yourself.
I learnt the hard way and this is why I can hold my head up high, someone elses opinion is insignificant to me.
You are your own boss and you control your own destiny.
Without sounding cliche, no one will respect you unless you respect yourself. Love yourself and people will love you.
By showing respect to other people and being kind you in turn will be rewarded for your honorable and courteous behavior.
Remember only you know your self worth and no one can make assumptions without knowing your full story. Do not claim to be someone your are not.
2. To get respect, give respect.
Do not throw stones in glass houses. You do not want to be spoken about badly behind your back so do not speak ill of people when they are not around. People around you want just as much respect as you do. Think of this way karma has a way of pay you back, do not tempt fate as you may end up holding the other side of the coin. Afterall you should still be courteaus and respectful to the person who may be disrespectul to you as this will make you the bigger person. To gain their respect show interest in them and try and contribute by being helpful.
3. Finding a mentor.
By growing a network of like minded people you have the opportunity to be respected because of what you have to say, humans are very complex labyrinthine beings, with only a handful of people whose names are immediately recognizable and well respected. If you are able to learn from someone who is well known in their field of expertise you will find people will follow you like lambs and will be eager to learn from you. By having a great following of people especially on social media you will naturally gain the respect you so rightfully deserve. By having a large network of people interested in your niche you will not only learn from others but you will also be able to teach what you have learnt.
4. Mentoring Others.
By mentoring others and helping them climb the ladder of success not only will this help others it will also help you. If you can invest your time teaching others this will in turn cause a ripple effect and the ones you teach will then be able to teach others and will avoid costly mistakes, yet will always refer to the mentor that originally taught them and you will then gain notoriety and respect.
By enriching the lives of others you will be remembered and referred to and in time you would have built your own legacy.
5. Honesty is the best policy
Do not pretend to be something you are not. The best way to gain respect is to communicate face to face. If something is bothering you or you are not sure about, talk it over, do not hide behind your superior ego.
I had someone most recently without any explanation terminate an agreement. Rather than talk things over to see what they felt was not working for them they chose to cut their losses only to realise that they had infact lost more than they had bargained for.
Through their ill representation of someone who claimed to be an expert in more than one field they had in fact lost several thousands ££££ of advertising and looking at their analytics report a lot of business too and they will not hold global positioning on a local search directory because of the their mistake.
Yet had they have stayed they would have been dominated in their industry and would have held exact match searchable keyword domain names all because of misguidance by someone sitting on their high throne. As an example I have written many contracts in my time but that does not make me a solicitor, so the same could be said for the individual who also claims to be a SEO expert.
All it would have taken was communication from the other Director and his assocociates to resolve the matter.
Not only that they will now how to start from scratch and it will cost them an arm and a leg to get back what they had and more.
There is a saying you reap what you sow. They would have had more repsect from me had they talked things over.
As my daughter now says its their loss.
People value authenticity and honesty more than they value respect and by not being honest and transparent they have now bitten off more than they can chew.
6. Self Representation & Appearance
I will reflect back to a time when I was in a toxic relationship and everything I owned was destroyed and everytime I replaced things these things would get destroyed also, so I stopped replacing them until I could free myself from the toxicity in my life.
This obviously showed in my appearance as I started to play down my appearance and my personality and kept myself to myself. The fear of being humiliated for looking nice was my ultimate sacrifice until I could rebuild my life. But there were certain individuals that chose to be judgemental without knowing the full story and not only did I have to put up with toxicity in my personal life I was faced with snide comments in my work environment.
So I chose to take a stand and remove myself from the people that were weighing me down. This was like the world had lifted off my shoulders. I did not have to prove myself to no one. Either these people accepted me for whom I was or not at all.
I did learn something though looks matter, people are judgemental and I started to love myself again and have started to respect myself although deep down I always respected myself, but found that other people did not.
I started blooming again after so many years of being a closed flower bud. Whenever I went out which was very rarely pre covid -19, I chose to look smart, I wanted to show the world I had picked myself up again and that I was ready to face anyone, holding my head up tall.
You don’t need to earn a lot of money to look smart or professional, you just got to look the part.
By looking great you not only look nice, you also feel better about yourself and are more confident. Your behaviour will reflect your personality and people will take notice and will show you more respect. Looking great, walking tall with your head up high makes you look successful and you feel in your mind you can conquer the world, however looking slouched and you posture not straight gives people a different impression.
I also know my self worth, I also have published 3 books and am writing 2 more. I am well respected in my industry. If you think badly of me then it is your loss not mine.
7. Surround yourself with positive people.
Surrounding yourself with like minded positive people that understand how you think, you will benefit from your friendship with them, from their teachings, makes you a more assertive individual. If on the other hand you constantly associated with negative, depressing, artificial, or critical people, this will boil over to your own personality and you too will act and think like these people.
The most certain way to gain respect is to be associated with people that show respect to others and do not talk about others behind their backs in a negative way.
Respect grows in a self-reciprocal way. When others respect you, you feel confident and you then respect them back.
8. Stay Knowlegableand Teach Well.
When someone is eager to learn and is thankful for your teaching you will gain respect.
If you are associated with a person who is defensive, arrogant, condescending, and totally unteachable, not only are you wasting your valuable time with them, you are also weighing yourself down with a person that refuses to learn and refuses to show respect. These people who do not want to help themselves have pretty much given up on themselves, they think they can do as they please without consequences.
There are always consequences with our actions.
If the person that wants to learn everything, will listen, they will be the ones that will show you respect for the knowlege you have passed on to them.
Conclusion
Respect should be appreciated in your home, your work and private life and in all walks of life.
There are so many people in the news nowadays that do not show respect, from the Police in the USA that killed “George Floyd” because they thought they were better than him and hid behind their shield to gain authority, to “Jefferey Epstein” and the dirty old men that thought using and abusing young females, was completely fine and had little regard for these girls as they had no esteems themselves. No matter who you are and where you come from and what title you hold, you should always show respect to other people.
If you stripped your titles and you were left in the room with your arched enemy and there was only the two of you left to save the world would you kill each other or would you help one another? The same goes if you needed a blood transfusion in order to live would you die or would you take the blood from your enemy who was willing to save your life? These are all hypothetical scenarios but you get the drift.
Respect is not a commodity that can be bought, traded, sold, or exchanged, respect can only be earned or lost. Yet in the case of “Jefferey Epstien” he tried buying respect with money. Eventually everything comes out and in the case of “Jefferey’s” partner who has gone into hiding “Ghislaine Maxwell” the daughter of “Robert Maxwell” will she ever gain the respect from all the girls that were abused or the rest of the world for that matter?, only the artificial people in her life will continue to look up to her. Did I forget to mention there is bounty on her by “The Sun Newspaper” of £10,000 reward for her wherabouts.
No matter who you are, showing respect to others you will gain admiration, appreciation, and respect naturally without having to use unnecessary means or paying for it as in the case of the Police in the George Floyd & Jeffery Epstein cases. Preying on vulnerable young girls and taking advantage of them them does not make you a Prince or a President, it makes you not a worthy person.
People are not garbage, people have feelings and we are all on this planet together all trying to do the same thing and that is to survive and build a bigger brighter future for generations to come.
Consider the consequences of your actions next time you say or do something bad to another individual.
