Neom City (The Line).

Neom City (The Line) Domain Names.

For those that do not know about Neom City, it is a Futuristic City that is being built in Saudia Arabia. The Crown Prince Of Saudia Arabia has started construction to build a zero-carbon empire at NEOM, the first major project for the $500 billion flagship business zone aimed at diversifying the economy of the world’s largest oil exporter.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman the future King of Saudia Arabia is only 34 years old, he controls part of the royal family’s vast wealth, which is estimated at up to $1.4 trillion and includes Saudi Aramco, the most valuable company in the world. The heir will ascend to the throne after the death of his father, 84-year-old King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The Crown Prince was quoted as saying in a rare televised appearance that the city, known as “The Line”, would extend over 170 km (105 miles) and be able to house a million residents in “carbon-positive urban developments powered by 100% clean energy”. “The backbone of investment in ‘The Line’ will come from the $500 billion support to NEOM by the Saudi government, PIF, and local and global investors over 10 years,”.

Cymru Marketing Banner AD

The reason for this post is a domain investor brought to my attention the following information via email:

Neom Email

Obviously, I have redacted the sender’s email for privacy reasons.

The questionable link is as follows: www.DiscoverNeom.com it actually does point to a gaming site that looks like a five-year-old has designed, (apologies in advance to the owner of the site but it looks unprofessional).

Why is Neom pointing to this site anyway if Neom does not own it and clearly has not developed it?

Visitors going to this site will also be confused and will lose trust and damaging the reputation of what NEOM Stands for.

Due to GDPR, it is difficult to find the real owner of this site if their registration details are hidden in whois data privacy settings.

It does not look good for the (Crown Prince) when he starts a costly project but his marketing people fail to notice the embarrassing error or give good SEO advice.

Perhaps it was an oversight, however, I wrote about hyphen domain names being unprofessional the other day relating to one of the domain names that NEOM are promoting www.neom-property.com when they could have easily acquired the non-hyphen version that clearly points to a landing page stating the domain name is for sale www.neomproperty.com

The hyphen domain article can be read here: https://www.cymrumarketing.com/hyphen-domain-names/

Again I do not have this particular domain on my books but I can find out who the owner is by simply doing some digging around. I am connected with most Neom Domain Investors so it should not be very hard to find out.

All the NEOM-related domain names that I am managing for my clients can be found here:

What is not available can be acquired, just send me a message. Also if there is a particular domain that you need we can help to source it.

I will be contacting the NEOM Marketing Company for comment and will update you in due course.

Royal Mail VS Courier

Royal Mail Poor and Costly Service.

As my readers are aware by now I own several blogs and today I posted on: https://disabledentrepreneur.uk/royal-mail-vs-courier

I am a marketing influencer consultant with a following of nearly 10K people on LinkedIn.

My concerns are that my daughter who suffers with Multiple Sclerosis is on the verge of a replase because of Royal Mail due to unnecassary anxiety and stress.

Now I have reached out to the CEO Stuart Simpson regarding the problem my daughter is faced with for comment.

The post should be titled “Royal Mail VS Carrier Pigeon”.

Hopefully we will be able to resolve this issue quickly without any fuss.

I will be updating this post at the bottom of this page as soon as I get a response.

My concerns are not only about the value of the parcel and deadline but also by far the most important my daughters health. Obviously the parcel is worth a lot of money for my daughter to be up in arms worrying.

If a company has a laid back attitude and says they will respond within 10 -35 days, that is simply not good enough.

If you have a problem fix it thats all I can say, employ more staff if you have to….

There are plenty competitors out there including possible startups so it would be worth evaluating logistic strategies to stay ahead of the competion.

Regarding cost.

If you are sending letters, then Royal Mail is an option, but email is far easier, quickerm cheaper and more secure. However, if you want to send parcels that are larger and heavier, a courier is without a doubt the most cost-effective option every time.

I remember sending parcels abroad that cost more than the content I was shipping using Royal Mail.

Chat Widget.

Even I have a chat widget on all my sites, it is not hard to implement and it gives confidence to the user that their question will be answered, without trudging through countless web pages. I personally detest when a company does not tell you straight but points you to a tutorials or web pages and has no chat widget.

Standard of Care.

When a company enters into a contract between the consumer and service provider they have to duty of standard care which may be expressed in the contract or be implied by statute.

The contract may impose an absolute obligation on the entity to perform. However, in the case of giving advice or providing some other professional service, the implied duty of reasonable care and skill is likely to apply (Section 13 SGSA 1982).

For example, when acting on behalf of a client in litigation, the solicitor is not guaranteeing success. The duty on the solicitor is to act with the care and skill that the client is entitled to expect from a professional. Similarly, when supervising the construction of a building, the surveyor is under a duty to act with the requisite care and skill. An additional absolute duty may be placed on the professional (for example, a surveyor may have contractually undertaken to spend a set number of hours each day at the site). The nature of any contractual obligation needs to be examined in each case.

Obviously the care expected between the consumer and the service provider is to ensure that the service is met and in the case of Royal Mail logistics are delivered from A to B., failing to do this, the consumer is entitled to monetary compensation.

https://www.humphreys.co.uk/personal/negligence-general/

FINAL THOUGHTS!

I understand the sheer volume of letters and parcels sent everyday can be overwhelming to comprehend and my daughter and I am are a drop in the ocean as far as Royal Mail are concerned. But if Amazon who I am an affiliate are on the ball there should be no excuse for Royal Mail.

Here is the compensation page it mentions nothing about if someone falls ill because of a direct consequence (Domino Effect) of Royal Mail’s actions.

UPDATE

19/01/21

I had a response back from the CEO of Royal Mail who said they would look into this for me. This does not solve the problem that even though I received the email 24 hours ago no one has bothered contacting my daughter and I.

Out of frustracion my daughter phoned Royal Mail today and was put on hold for an hour and ten minutes.

People should not have to wait this long to be put through to have a person on the other end obviously over worked and very stressed, having a tone in her voice and then saying that they are aware there is a backlog of deliveries in Cardiff Sorting Office (UK).

This news is no good to the customer who has a deadline to return a package.

What Is Royal Mail Doing?

Even a carrier pigeon can deliver faster than what they are doing right now.

They should never make excuses as with every obstacle there is always a solution.

Tell me something if there are so many people out of work because of lockdown surely they can employ people or use online virtual assistants to answer calls and message with online chat. They would not have to physically employ staff just hire a service provider that can alleviate the problem of answering calls.

As for the backlog of deliveries what is wrong with their logistics again they could outsource the work to other couriers.

Obviously I do not know how a sorting office runs as the closest I have been to one was to collect parcels but again there is always a solution to every problem.

I would like to know what Royal Mail will offer my daughter for all the stress and worry she has endured which is detrimental to her health?

Will I be promoting Royal Mail in future?, who knows we will have to wait and see in another update. I still have not shared this post on my social media pages as I am still waiting on a soultion to this problem, although the clock is ticking.

Hyphen Domain Names

Hypen Domain Names

Hyphen Domain Names.

Hyphen Domain Names and why you should not use them.

I was approached last week to tender for a bank and upon closer inspection I found that they are using a hyphen domain name. This got me thinking outside the box so to speak and the keywords they were using within their domain name were hyphenated. I found that they were pointing what would be their MAIN non hyphen domain name to their hyphen domain name, not the other way round. Not only that they were not using the keywords that a consumer would search for, although there are 654,000,000 results for their keywords business bank, the first word in their domain name would not be something that people neccessarily would search for. Google does not use exact-match searchable phrases but will list a broad match of search results based on the searchable keywords.

I then thought how can I help this bank with their marketing when they are looking for a marketing agency that would be a subcontractor? I for one cannot be a subcontractor, cannot work out of hours or weekends, and can only commit to a few hours each month. I work on my own terms.

So I decided to register a domain name any bank would want in the UK but rather than just put the domain name up for sale I will be doing extensive SEO. I have already launched the domain even though the website is under construction and will eventually have a directory of all the banks in the UK.

Once I get the domain on the first page of Google I will contact the bank in question, although any bank will be biting my arm off to get the domain, especially when it will be generating traffic. I will not announce the domain name until it is 100% developed.

💲💲💲

So needless to say I come across another domain name that had a marketing campaign sent to my inbox today and I was very surprised that they too were using a hyphen domain name.

Again I did some investigating and found that the non hyphen domain name was actually for sale, which means that the powers that be have no intention of buying domain names that are being brokered and are up for sale as opposed to hand-registering what is available.

Good luck to them is all I can say and even though I am not brokering www.neomproperty.com and as opposed to what Neom City have www.neom-property.com gives me a better understanding of their marketing strategy.

As for the wordNeom,” it is trademarked therefore no one should be able to use the word other than the London Organic Beauty Company. Hence in my opinion and considering the London Organic Company came first www.neom.com by rights should belong to the beauty company, just saying…. The same goes for booking(s).com trademarked their name so no one can use the word booking (s) in a domain name.

PROS & CONS.

PROS:

Advantages of using hyphens

Domain names comprised of generic terms are more likely to be available; particularly when seeking to the nonavailable TLD.

CONS:

Disadvantages of hyphenated domain names

People are less likely to remember a hyphen and it adds an extra character to the domain name.

More difficult to market nonflowing words and long-winded especially when advertising on radio or through word of mouth.

Is not as valuable as a flowing two or three-word domain name and won’t have as good a resale value.

If your domain name is two words (like www.renataentrepreneur.com), you may want to separate the words with a hyphen for readability: www.renata-entrepreneur.com. But one has to consider that hyphens strongly correlate with spammy behavior and decrease domain name readability and memorability. People tend to ignore or avoid clicking links that go to these types of domain names for fear of landing on a nonauthentic scam website or a virus.

https://news.gandi.net/en/2020/08/should-i-put-a-dash-in-my-domain-name/

What about using underscores instead of hyphens?

Ultimately one should perform a radio test for memorability. A radio test is a way of finding out if the domain names are easily remembered publically e.g. on the phone, in meetings, in presentations, at a bar, in a taxi, or in a Zoom call. Verbal communication enables us to remember words easily, using hyphens can cause confusion and may be deemed as untrustworthy. Symbols and underscores can’t be used in domains anyway as the characters are not permitted, however, numbers can.

It may an idea for a business to secure the hyphen domain name but not use it for SEO or marketing purposes more so to stop cyber criminals from cloning sites.

For your information, I have secured the hyphen for my example earlier www.renataentrepreneur.com plus the .co.uk so that no one gets the better of me.

Cardiff Solicitors Domain Names For Sale

Cardiff Solicitors Law Domain Names For Sale!

Due to Covid-19 cutting costs, one of our clients has dropped these already developed domain names.

www.cardiffprobatesolicitors.co.uk is a blog and is already generating traffic and Google have ranked it, so depending on the frequency of the new content submitted the blog is hovering between page 1 and page 2 of Google organically. Today it is on page 1.

Cardiff Probate Solicitors has about 362,000 results (meaning this the amount of website/blogs for these keywords.

Breakdown of valuation of this domain name www.cardiffprobatesolicitors.co.uk

Probate Solicitors has searched for 1,600 times per month with the highest bid for PPC advertising at the cost of £36.99 per click and at the lowest £7.17

So if we calculate 1,600 multiplied by £36.99 = £59.184 per month in advertising multiplied by 12 months (as that is the average time your website/blog will take to be ranked and get on the first page of Google) = £710,208.00 in PPC advertising. But not everyone that see’s your advert will click on it (the average click through ratio is 2%) which gives a grand total of how much this domain is worth based on £36.00 per bid = £14,204.16

So the asking price would be £10,000

Otherwise a payment plan over 3 years would be £300 per month.

***This is valuation price is without a website, hosting, design, development, SEO and marketing.

Corporate Gorilla Bullies

Corporate Gorilla Bullies.

Imagine having so much power that you can destroy people’s lives. I will not be naming these companies in my text content as it is readable but you will get the gist of whom I am referring to by the first letter of their name.

Gorrilla NO1: Imagine owning a search engine and refusing to take down a search result that is inaccurate with the potential to cause the person harm if it continued to be listed. Well that is what has happened to me and although I would love to spill the beans on this I cannot right now for legal reasons, but I am planning to take Gorilla NO1 (G Search Engine) to the European Court of Human Rights. I was planning physically going to my solicitor before the coranvirus-covid-19 outbreak and was planning on sending some documents. Because of this I cannot meet him physically for him to stamp some documents, but this can wait as it has already caused me damage to my business, so whats another few months waiting, it’s not as if I can fly anywhere anyway. But the people I do not want them to see the search result, may have already done so with them having too much time on their hands right now because of isolation and may be even more so researching and may stumble across the said search result which is inaccurate. I want to simply cry just thinking about it.

Gorilla NO2: Moving on the next Gorilla in the room is (F Social Media) in which I do not use very often for personal use and more so to manage business pages, but never the less innocently I posted a video of a notorious journalist in the UK that seems to be deemed as dangerous for spreading hate crimes. Watching his videos I do not beieve he is what they (Coroparte Bullies and the Deep State) claim him to be but more so a target of the Corporate Bullies whom just want to shut him up. The video was about this very same journalist apprehending some thugs that were coughing and spitting into an elderly couples faces. This I thought was good journalism to show what idiots we have growing up as our next generation. I thought it was good he defended the couple in the video yet (F) sent me a message to me today saying that I had promoted hate crimes and that I could not post anything for 30 days. There was nothing hateful about the video other than the thugs coughing and spitting in the faces of the ederly couple and I certainly was not condoning this with the thugs for sure. Yet (F) who also think they are God can pull the rug from right under you and assumed that I was in same way promoting this evil even though my my caption even stated I was furious at what I had seen and was disgusted by our younger generation whom simply do not have respect for their elders. . What if I want to post something on behalf of my clients business pages they have now actively interfered in my business and when anyone does that I see red and I cannot do it for the next 30 day……totally pathetic if you ask me and the only way I could most probably do anything about this if I was very rich then they would see me in a different light.

Gorillan NO3: It has been going round on the internet that all coronavirus and covid-19 domain names are being blocked. I in fact was brokering such a domain name and had found a buyer this one particular day, set up Escrow.com and after vetting this individual the next day the domain was flagged. The owner was selling t-shirts but now the domain is flagged as a phising site.

I usually post on (F Business Pages) and on (L Social Media for Businesses) where I hangout the most and have noticed that everytime I mentioned the domain name as an example to my other clients the keywords where being highlighted as a warning.

So Gorilla No3, being (L) has started blocking some of my posts one which had a video of ‘David Icke’, apparantly it is rummoured he was spreading fake news, yet I watched his video and he not once metioned anything dergatory, you can search him up on Youtube. Then there was the video of the journalist ‘TR’ and the Coronavirus Domain name that I was actively trying to sell for a genuine entrepreneur, who was selling t-shirts.

What is stopping any individual not that I am encouraging it in the slightest but merely making a point that one could easily make a sub domain with the flagged keywords to spread fake news, if one was that way inclined,? Would that mean Gorilla NO1 will then start blocking all sites that have the flagged keywords in the content aswell?

Surely there is a more transparent way of dealing with this and make an announcement that all of these new flagged domain names should only exist if the user purchases a license similar to the Bitcoin Domain Names some time ago.

My final thoughts on this is that these Corporate Giants do not care if you you can bring food to the table or not, they will do whatever they want with you and everything you write or post about is monitored.

Disclaimer

For my own peace of mind I am not re-sharing the videos, you will just have to do your own research, sorry folks, as I know that making waves only causes more problems, so I am tackling each Gorilla one at a time.

I have little respect for companies that do not do their research and assume inacurate information and just simply block you because they can.

There is no freedom of speech anymore and the best part is that these companies are faceless meaning they have done it in a way you cannot just pick up the phone and complain, even going to the lengths of even not allowing to send emails. These companies to me are cowards. With the millions of people unemployed in this world they should have online chat at least. Yet they say they have your best interests at heart, this is complete nonsense, all they care about is making a profit and nothing else.

ONE.COM & DOMAIN NAME RENEWALS

ONE.COM DOMAIN NAME RENEWALS!

ONE.COM The hosting company for website and domain names. No I am not putting them on a pedestal to market them as being the best hosting company on the planet on the contrary I am putting them on a pedestal for being one of the worst. I cannot say they are the worst as there could be worse hosting companies out there.

Instead I will just highlight how they have added an extra fee for renewing domain names. So if you are in the business of buying and selling domain names you will know that DNS Domain Administration comes part and parcel of the package of renewing domain names as without a DNS system one cannot alter DNS Records or forward domain names.

So a .CO.UK Domain Renewal on any other registrars website costs £10 plus vat but this company ONE.COM are charging for the domain name renewal and also the DNS administration system as you can see below:

ONE.COM DNS Administration Fee.

This is a scam if I ever I saw one and the customers they have most probably do not know that DNS comes as default with a Domain Name and should not be charged as an add on.

I would avoid ONE.com like the plague, all they have been is problem after problem from the start and God knows what nightmare stories their ex-customers would have to say given half the chance.

Slowly but surely they will end up loosing me as a customer. Customer services were no better basically saying if I did not like it, to take a running jump, I would call their bluff but I cannot afford one of the domain names going into migration over to another registrar as that would mess up one of my clients websites, which I cannot afford to do right now, considering ONE.com lost his blog (it just disappeared off the face of the www) not so long ago.

Total Nightmare Company!

28/02/20 Addendum

As you are aware I am down sizing my portfolio with one.com and am moving over to another hosting provider.

Upon checking a particular website today the contact page was off centre.

This means when I published it the other day they must have re-published my site (even though they claim they NEVER do).

So today I spend my valuable time talking to these idiots again and they admit that they had done a bug fix the other day which may have caused one of my codes to be none responsive.

If my site was working fine the other day and you do a bug fix and it is not working fine today you should reimburse me and you fix the problem without blaming everyone else on the planet bar yourselves.

This is NOT the first time they have done this and then tried blaming the consumer.

I am livid to say the least and hope and pray my client does not see the unresponsive page, they only lost his blog and could not retrieve off their server. I am amazed that they have any business.

…….since writing my post earlier they found that it was not a bug fix but something else which the technician should have spotted before creating a ticket and I did not get an apology, says it all…..

Selling a Business

Selling a Business!

Before you start remember if you are using a brokerage site always sign a commission agreement up front. A contract saves on any misunderstanding further down the line.

I will give you an example of one such business later on that refused to sign a commission agreement and told me to keep things under radar as he did not want the publicity only to sing it from the roof tops on a popular business social media platform. This in turn minimised who I could then approach as this person was connected with the majority of my connections. Anyone seeing this would eliminate the middle man or in my case middle woman and deal with him directly. He said he was once offered $350K but he turned it down loosing that opportunity for good and now he is asking £345K for the same business. Sometimes you have to evaluate if it is a good thing to pass up on a high figure due to greed and then have to wait many years for another opportunity to come by.

Looking at his website he claims he has ex amount of members subscription sign ups which is good as an email list and you know what they say “the money is in the list”. However he has never showed me proof of this. He also states he has thousands of visitors coming to his site every month and again I have no proof of this either. I did do a SEO audit report on his site and found many errors. Looking at his site I would not spend more than a hundred dollars on it but obviously it is his domain name that holds the key as well as his email list and his traffic.

So my first thoughts are why did he not sign a commission agreement it was not exclusive to me, he could have still approached other domain brokers. Secondly under the Anti-terrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001 http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2001/24/contents any individual or business must perform due diligence for transactions over £1,000 hence this is a red flag to me that he refused to sign the agreement as this would have been the start of a carbon footprint or digital trail, which maybe means he has less favourable motives to not signing a contract.

So my work that I have done for him to date has gone down the pan even though this domain name was unique and has equity which is an advantage.

But for people who fail to be transparent I will not work with them and have told him so in not so many words this morning to a reply to a message he sent me.

At the moment I am still keeping quiet about the domain name and business modal that this person has for sale as I want to see if he replies to me for being sly.

If he did not want to pay a commission then he should not have approached me and just done outbound marketing himself, but due to health reasons he had not this, so what was the change of heart?

24/02/20 Since writing this blog post yesterday the person has come back to me to say he has does not care for due diligence formalities and the reason he posted on “Linkedin” was to test the water. For people who do not want to perform due diligence raises a red flag.

This person says he has over 20 years experience yesterday but today he says he has over 50 years experience is a lie as the internet has not been around that long for the public. He went on to say he has sold domains all over the world well good for him but a law is a law and you cannot argue with a law.

I am not going to promote his domain name or business if he does not want to play ball, I have more to risk than he does and if he does not care about consequences or formalities, a simple word of mouth gentlemen’s agreement will not do. I was going to promote the domain full blast but because of his reluctance to sign an agreement tells me he has something to hide.

I have done gentlemen’s agreements before and have found them to be not solid, so I will not do them now. Trust no one. Why should I trust him?, I do not know him?
